BIAZZI supports its Customers during all steps of the project. From the initial process development up to the commissioning and future plant revamping / Life Cycle Management.

Pre-Project Phase

BIAZZI’s Pre Project support is tailored to the Customer’s individual needs. These needs can be classified into three groups:

Licensed process: This approach is for the Customer seeking an immediate capability to produce a certain chemical molecule at a defined capacity. BIAZZI offers process licenses that are part of its established process portfolio mainly in the fields of Energetic Materials and Base Chemicals. BIAZZI provides the entire process including all material specifications and granting extended process and delivery guarantees.

Adapted Customer Process: Using the Customer’s specific raw material and desired product specification, BIAZZI applies its process know-how to custom tailor a unique process to satisfy the Customer’s needs. BIAZZI hereby focusses mainly on gas/liquid and on nitration processes. BIAZZI designs the process already for the desired industrial capacity applying BIAZZI’s proprietary equipment building blocks.

Process Development: Where Customer’s visions meet BIAZZI’s capabilities, BIAZZI engages in an intense process development collaboration with the Customer’s Expert Team with the goal to develop an industrial process. Recent examples are novel routes for base chemical production, hydrogen carriers for green technologies, food additives etc. Our focus is on building industrial plants.

Basic Engineering

BIAZZI’s support during the Basic Engineering phase includes the basic engineering (Process package, PIDs and associated lists and Civil Engineering) of the whole unit including side sections if required (i.e. storages, filtration, purification), and the basic control philosophy. BIAZZI also supports its clients in all technical and safety reviews (HAZOP) to ensure a safe and reliable plant.

Detailed Engineering, Procurement and Construction

BIAZZI is also in position to provide fully mounted SKID units. In such case, BIAZZI designs in detail, procures and constructs all necessary equipment, valving, piping, instruments and fittings and provides its Customers with a turnkey unit at a fixed and guaranteed price and delivery time. A fully programmed control system can also be provided based on state-of-the-art control philosophy (Industry 4.0, predictive maintenance, etc.).

Commissioning and Technical Assistance

BIAZZI offers support to its Customers during the plant installation and commissioning work. We assist with plant erection supervision, site work, commissioning and performance tests to ensure a smooth start to commercial production and a professional training of the Customer’s team by skilled and experienced BIAZZI Experts.

Life Cycle Management

With BIAZZI’s support, our Customers plants never stop improving. BIAZZI provides periodical inspections and maintenance to prevent any possible downtime, it provides process support to ensure optimized conditions despite possible changes in operation or raw material source and proposes revamping and new process to stay on top of the market.

BIAZZI also provides periodical training of its Customer’s personnel to ensure the team possesses the necessary knowledge from an operational, maintenance, troubleshooting and safety point of view.
